Story angles
Happy to talk about any of these on the record.
One designer, three clock brands
Mark K. designs Zen Wall Clocks, with quiet lines like "This too shall pass", alongside Whatever O'Clock, with lines like "Who cares" and "Time is bullshit", and Now Clocks, which carries a single word. All three are printed on the same production line.
A clock designed for one person
The buyer picks the words and every colour on the clock, so a gift is made for the person receiving it. Each one is printed after it's ordered, so there is no warehouse of unsold stock.
Quiet words in a loud category
Wall decor words are usually there to motivate. These are chosen to settle: short lines like "This too shall pass" and "inhale exhale", with no exclamation marks.
Founder
Mark K. started Zen Wall Clocks in 2026 because every wall clock he could find was either purely functional or relentlessly upbeat, and he wanted something quieter on the wall. The longer version of that story is on the about page.
"Every wall clock I could find was either purely functional or relentlessly upbeat. I wanted something quieter on the wall."
